Grade one students receive book by Island author
Doors in the Air

A book written by well-known Island author David Weale will be distributed to every Grade one student on Prince Edward Island and across Canada as part of TD Bank Financial Group's annual book giveaway. "Doors in the Air" is illustrated by Pierre Pratt and is available to students in both official languages.

The Public Library Service is expanding the hours of operation in Stratford, and adding additional staff hours, in response to increased demand since the opening of the new library, says Minister of Tourism and Culture Robert Henderson.

This online exhibit, a joint Project of the Public Library Service and Public Archives and Records Office, was created to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the O'Leary Public Library, which opened its doors on March 1st, 1934.

The "Books to Go" collection was created for busy families on the go. 20 bags of 5 of the best-loved picture books for preschoolers will be placed at the Confederation Centre, Cornwall, Montague, Summerside, and Dr.-J.-Edmond-Arsenault libraries for easy access by children and adults.
